The Preferred Supplier Agreement, worth $15.25 million over four years, will produce savings of more than $5.4 million for schools (and taxpayers) through smart, fit-for-purpose product choice, bulk procurement efficiencies and aggregated buying methodologies
- Delivery of Prep furniture kits and Prep resources supply. No other company but SDS could be trusted in the education market to provide the logistics and product expertise to meet the demands of the Prep 2007 rollout. SDS delivered over $2m in taxpayer savings through the aggregated buying and forward ordering methodologies being implemented for Prep.
- Regional Trader program supporting and strengthening regional businesses to become part of the expanded SDS distribution network and in turn supporting regional Queensland businesses.
- All government publications are now available via a single SDS supply portal. In a few years, all members of the community will be able to access government literature, brochures, publications and gazettes through a single phone number and a single website, without having to navigate the vast number of government agencies to find what they want. Everything from driver’s licence application forms to information on the environment will be available through SDS
- Merger: SDS Publications and SDS Logistics, July 2005. Adding strength, intelligence, interoperability and stability to SDS
- Environment strategy. SDS itself has recycled over 8.2 tonnes of landfill in just four months. SDS contributes to the Aspley Special School's Kingfisher Recycling Centre. Goal to increase re-used and recycled goods by 25% across SDS in 2006
- SDS Online...on the “fast track” to provide a single supply portal to the whole of government, incorporating direct ship arrangements from other major suppliers
